Learn how to make a glossy green 3d ball in Adobe Photoshop with an intersection style.

Start by making an elliptical black shape centered on the stage.

Now double click the shape layer in the layers panel to get to the layers style panel, and give it settings as shown below.

Now make a new layer and name it reflection, then hold down ctrl and click the shape layer from before to load the selection, with the elliptical selection tool and selection mode called intersect with selection drag and select as shown below.

Go to filters -> blur -> gaussian blur and blur it about 5 to soften it.

repeat this for the bottom part reflection too but not that big a selection.

Now we will make the intersection inside the ball, so hold down ctrl and click the shape layer from before to load the selection, with the elliptical selection tool and selection mode called intersect with selection drag and select as shown below.

for the elliptical shape layer from before, delete the selected part of the shape so you end up with an image looking like this.

Still holding the selection make a layer just above the background layer and fill the selection with a light green color.

In the layers panel to get to the layers style panel, and give it settings as shown below.

Now between the shape layer and the reflection layer you can type in some text or put in some graphic and you should get a result like mine.
