This is more of an experimental tutorial on how to use a specific method in photoshop.

So now we will make a letter and make the line with dots.

1.
First of all we will define the brush to draw with, so select the brush tool and go to the brush tool panel (by default its placed in the top right corner). Then give it settings as shown below.

Now with the text tool draw a letter with bold font.

Hold down ctrl and click the text layer in the layers panel to load the selection, then delete the text layer.
Make a new empty layer. Fill the selection with white color.

Now go to the path panel and make a new path layer.

Right click the new path layer and choose stroke path, then hit enter.

now you should have a dottet line around the letter.

Delete the path layer and you should have your letter made up by dots.

Now you can make other shapes to follow paths, its a very useful tip.
