Blue Plastic Wrap Text Effect
In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial you will see how to make a cool blue plastic wrap text effect.
1.
Start by writing the text you want to add this effect to.

hold down ctrl and click the text layer from before to load the selection, now delete the text layer and make a new empty layer.

Now we will go through a procedure thats kind of tricky you may have to adjust the values a bit depending on the text size and font you are using.
Go to select -> modify -> smooth and smooth it 2 px
Fill the selection with black.
Go to select -> modify -> contract and contract it 2 px
Go to select -> modify -> smooth and smooth it 2 px
fill the selection with white color.
Go to select -> modify -> contract and contract it 2 px
Go to select -> modify -> smooth and smooth it 2 px
fill the selection with black.
Go to select -> modify -> contract and contract it 2 px
Go to select -> modify -> smooth and smooth it 2 px
fill the selection with white.
Go to select -> modify -> contract and contract it 2 px
Go to select -> modify -> smooth and smooth it 2 px
fill the selection with black.

Now your text should look something like this.

Now go to filter -> filter gallery and locate the filter called plastic wrap and set it as below.

Go to image -> adjustments -> hue and saturations and drag the handles so change colors as shown below.

Now double click the shape layer in the layers panel to get to the layers style panel, and give it settings as shown below.

Go to filter -> filter gallery and locate the plastic wrap and set it as in the image below.
9.
Now finally we will change the colors a bit, so go to image -> adjustments -> color balance and drag the handles until you get the colors you want.
