Green theme web menu design in Photoshop
Make a stylish green web menu for a new web design in Adobe Photoshop.
1.
Start by filling the background layer with a light green color (or what ever color you want to use).
Make a new empty layer, then with the rectangular selection tool drag out the outline where the web menu should be.
Go to select -> modify -> smooth and smooth the selection about 25.
2.
Make a gradient as in the image below, then drag it from top to bottom.
3.
While still holding the selection from before, make an empty layer and name it stroke.
Go to edit -> stroke and make a stroke 4 px wide and a darker green color.
Go to filter -> blur -> gaussian blur about 2 just to smooth the edges.
4.
In the layers panel right click the stroke layer (make sure the stroke layer is placed on top of the shape layer) and choose merge down.
Double click the shape layer to get to the layers style panel and give it a drop shadow with settings as in the image below.
5.
Drag a thin rectangular selection over your shape as shown below, make an empty layer, this layer will contain a cleft effect.
So fill the selection with the same green color as the shape is (just use the eyedropper tool to determine the correct color).
6.
Now double click the new layer to get to the layers style panel, and give it settings as shown below.
7.
Make some copies of the layer and drag them down as I did in the image below.
In the layers panel hold down ctrl and select all the new layer you just made, then right click and choose merge layers.
8.
Now you can type in some text in the boxes as I did and make it the same color as the shape in the background, then go to the layers style panel by double clicking the layer and give it settings as below.
And you are done.
