Liquid cartoon text effect in photoshop


In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial I will show you how to make a cool liquid cartoon text effect in just a few steps.

1.
Start with an empty white background layer, then make a new text layer and type in your text with big letters as shown below.

In the layers panel right click the text layer and choose rasterize layer to make a normal graphic layer.
Hold down ctrl and click the text layer to load the selection.

Now choose a different color with a big round brush click and make dots inside the selection as shown in the images below.

Now in the layers panel double click the text layer to get to the layers styles panel and give it settings as shown below.

Now go to filter -> filter gallery and locate the filter called reticulation and set it as in the image below.

Go to filter -> liquify and use the tools called Bloat tool, pocker tool and forward wrap to make the text more cartoonish as shown below.

Now go to filter -> filter gallery and locate the filter called plastic wrap and set it as shown below.

Now you can go go image -> adjustments and use eigher the color balance panel or hue and saturation panel to change the color and satuations as I did.
