Add an ice effect to a strawberry


In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial I will show you how to give a strawberry or any other object an ice effect.

1.
Start by loading your object into the scene, make a dark background as a good contrast color.
Place the object center of the screen, and now we are ready to begin.

In the layers panel make a copy of the strawberry and place it just above the original, now go to image -> adjustments -> desaturate to make it black and white colored as shown below.

Now double click the layer in the layers panel to get to the layers style panel and give it settings as shown below.

Now these next steps can varie a bit because its just fine tuning some saturation in colors.
Start by going to image -> adjustments -> levels and drag the handles a bit closer together.

Now rotate the object 90 degrees CW and give it a wind effect 3 times, as shown below,
Go to filter -> blur -> gaussian blur and blur it as shown in the image below.
Remember to rotate it back when you are done.

In the layers panel set the top layers blending mode to screen, as shown below.

And you are done.
