Easy Reflective Icon Creation
Learn how to make an easy stylish reflective icon with Adobe Photoshop
1.
Start by draging out a rectangular selection with the selection tool then go to select -> modify -> smooth and smooth it about 25 px.

Make a gradient like the one below, and drag it on to the selection.
Now double click the shape layer in the layers panel to get to the layers style panel, and give it settings as shown below.

Hold down ctrl and click the shape layer in the layers panel to load the selection, then go to select -> modify -> contract and contract the selection 30 px.

Make a new empty layer, make a new gradient as shown in the image below, then drag it over the selection, (the opposit way of the first gradient).

Now double click the shape layer in the layers panel to get to the layers style panel, and give it settings as shown below.

Now make a new layer and name it reflection, then hold down ctrl and click the shape layer from before to load the selection, with the rectangularselection tool and selection mode called intersect with selection drag and select as shown below.

Make a gradient going from white to transparent and drag it over the selection.
Then go to filters -> blur -> gaussian blur and blur it a bit to soften the edges.

Now go to edit transform -> wrap and drag it as shown below to reshape the reflection.
9.
Now make the content layer in between the shape and reflection layer.
With the custom shape tool locate a shape you like and drag it in the content layer.

Now double click the shape layer in the layers panel to get to the layers style panel, and give it settings as shown below.
