The simplicity of tech style interfaces in photoshop
In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial I will show you how easy it is to make these hightech interfaces.
1.
Start with a new empty stage, with a 50 percent gray background layer.
Make a new layer for your interface.
2.
Draw a white ellipse with the elliptical shape tool as shown in the image below.
Then in the layers panel right click and choose rasterize layer.
3.
In the layers panel double click the shape layer to get to the layers styles panel and give it settings as shown in the images below.
4.
Make a new layer and with the rectangle selection tool drag inside the shape from before, now to to select -> modify -> smooth and smooth the corners about 5 then fill the selection with a dark gray color by holding down shift and hitting backspace.
5.
In the layers panel double click the new layer to get to the styles panel, and give it settings as shown below.
6.
Now we will make a reflection to the display we just made.
Hold down ctrl and click the display layer from before, to load the selection.
With the elliptical selection tool and selection mode intersect with selection drag as shown below.
7.
Now drag a gradient inside the selection, make the gradient white to transparent.
Go to filters -> blur -> gaussian blur and blur it about 4 to soften the reflections edges.
8.
Now you can write something in a new layer in between the display and reflection layers.
To make the small green button I made, just use the same technique as I did on the display.
